Your Committee on Public Works and Intergovernmental Relations, to which was referred
Communication No. 404 and attached Resolution No. 142-01, reports as follows:
Communication No. 404 dated October 19, 2001 is from Ivan Torigoe, Deputy Corporation Counsel,
transmitting for Council's review and consideration, Resolution No. 142-01, which authorizes the acceptance of
a 10-foot road widening parcel and drainage improvements from H. Shiroma, Inc., situated at ~Vaiakea, District
of South Hilo and specifically identified as TMK: (3)2-2-039 and portions of 66
67, 68 and 69.
Resolution No. 142-01 states that H. Shiroma, Inc., a Hawaii Corporation, is desirous of dedicating the subject
road and related drainage improvements to the County of Hawaii. The resolution further states that all required
improvements are completed and the subdivision has received final approval pursuant to Chapter 23 of the
Hawaii County Code. A dedication deed (Exhibit A) and a map (Exhibit B) further delineating the parcel are
also attached to the resolution.
Your Committee on Public Works and Intergovernmental Relations is in accordance with the purpose and intent
of Resolution No. 142-O1 and recommends its adoption.
