Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 136-01, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 136-O1, transmitted by Director of Finance William Takaba, via Communication
No. 382, dated October 10, 2001, authorizes the acceptance of a donation from the Estate of
Mr. Jack C. Fuller.
The Estate of Mr. Jack C. Fuller has graciously donated a minivan to the Elderly Activities
Division's Coordinated Services Program of the Department of Parks & Recreation to provide
seniors with local transportation to their medical appointments. Fuel and maintenance needs will
also be included for One Year. The value of this donation is estimated at $25,000.00.
Pursuant to Article XIII, Section 13-12, Hawaii County Charter, the Council, on behalf of the
County, may accept gifts or donations of personal property.
A letter of appreciation will be sent to Mr. Walter B. Fisher, Executor, Estate of Mr. Jack C.
Fuller, P.O. Box 6051, Ocean View, Hawaii 96737-6051, acknowledging this generous
donation.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 136-01
and recommends its adoption.
