Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 138-01, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 138-O1, transmitted by Director of Finance William Takaba, via Communication
No. 384, dated October 10, 2001, authorizes the acceptance of a donation from
Mr. Tyler Peterson.
Mr. Tyler Peterson has graciously donated three Lady Amherst Pheasants for education and
display purposes to the Department of Parks & Recreation for the Pana`ewa Rainforest Zoo. The
value of this donation is estimated at $135.00.
Pursuant to Article XIII, Section 13-12, Hawaii County Charter, the Council, on behalf of the
County, may accept gifts or donations of personal property.
A letter of appreciation will be sent to Mr. Tyler Peterson, P.O. Box 383561, Waikoloa, Hawaii
96738, acknowledging this generous donation.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 138-01
and recommends its adoption.
