(8111 62) CONSTRUCTION OF A PRIVATE POST HARVEST
(Res. 71) TREATMENT FACILITY IN THE COUNTY OF HAWAII
Sir:
We believe that this resolution and bill is premature. We have yet
to aee and emergency response plan for the planned irradiation
plant yet this council and we in the cgtnmunity are being asked to
support this facility.
And E.R.P will provide both this council and our island community
with a professional comprehensive review of the operation of line
agencies (Fire, Police, and Civil Defence).
We will be able to access the cast involved in responding to any
emergency at such a facility and will be able to determine who wil l
bare the costs involved.
We will leave a processional assessment of the risks to the health.

deferred until more information is made available to us all.
