SUBJECT: Resolution to Oppose Deployment of the United States Navy's Surveillance
Towed Array Sensor System Low Frequency Active (SURTASS LFA) Sonar
Attached please find a resolution for committee assignment and consideration relating to
opposition to the proposed deployment of the United States Navy's Surveillance Towed Array
Sensor System (SURTASS) Low Frequency Active (LFA) sonar and a request to the National
Marine Fisheries Service to reject the Department of the Navy's application for a Letter of
Authorization to deploy the SURTASS LFA sonar.
