Re: Capital Budget
Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance to appropriate $100,000 of federal funds for the
Onomea Camp Road Bridge Replacement project. This project proposes to replace an
existing wooden bridge that is structurally and functionally deficient with a new concrete
bridge that meets current standards. With the construction nearly completed, additional
federal funds were necessary for this project due to unforeseen soil conditions and its
incurred costs. The County's portion for this project has already been allotted.

A. REQUEST:
Request appropriations amending Ordinance 00-68 to add Onomea Camp Road
Bridge Replacement in the amount of $100,000. This is the portion of the
Federal share for this project and will be entirely reimbursable. The
County share for the project has been allotted.
B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED):
The project proposes to replace an existing wooden bridge that is
structurally and functionally deficient with a new concrete bridge that
meets current standards.
This represents additional Federal funds necessary for the project.
The construction is nearly complete, but due to unforeseen soil
conditions, additional costs were incurred.
