VUFf1=REAS, the Sig Island Interscholastic Federation would like to donate a portable volleyball
standard for the Afook-Chinen Civic Auditorium; and
WHEREAS, this standard, with an estimated value of $3,914.30, will be used for all future volleyball
activities held at the Afook-Chinen Civic Auditorium; and
WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter provides that the Council, on
behalf of the County, may accept gifts or donations of personal property; and
WHiEREAS, the Department of Parks & Recreation recommends the acceptance of this donation.
NOW, T6~EREFORI=, BIE iT RESOLVE® 13Y THE COUNCIL OF T'~IE COUNTY OF O~Ia41PVAl`I that in
accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter, the Council of the County of Hawaii
accepts this donation.
13E IT FURTHER RESOLVE® that a letter of appreciation be sent to Mr. Roy H. Fujimoto, Executive
Director, Sig Island Interscholastic Federation, P.O. Sox 4160, Hilo, Hawaii 96720, acknowledging this
generous donation.
