REQUEST: To accept and acknowledge a donation of tatami mats for Waiakea Recreation Center B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): The Shudokan Judo Club would like to donate tatami mats to the Department of Parks and Recreation. These mats will be used at the Waiakea Recreation Center by participants of the various martial arts programs as well as senior citizen exercise class participants. These mats are the latest type tatami mats being made in Japan. They are made by layering different materials to ensure the safety of those utilizing the mats.
