Dear Chairman Arakaki and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to nominate Mr. Anson Chong of Council District 6, to the
Hawaii County Board of Appeals. Mr. Chong is a lifelong resident of Hawaii and
is currently with the University of Hawaii as an adjunct lecturer. He is also a
semi-retired planner. Mr. Chong has been active in the Fern Forest Hui
(Community Association), the United Nations Association of the USA _ Hawaii,
and is the currently the Secretaryl`freasurerfior the Americans- United for
Separation of Church and State, Hawaii Chapter. Mr. Chong states that he is a
member of the Democratic O'arty. if confirmed, he will serve a term to expire on
December 31, 2006.
