Dear Chairman Arakaki and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to inform you that I have appointed the following individuals to
the County of Hawaii Arborist Advisory Committee:
Susan R. Lowenhardt of Hamakua is a 38-year resident of Hawaii, living on the
Big Island for the last 12 years. Ms. Lowenhardt is presently an administrative
assistant with Prostaffing, Inc., and she is a master gardener from UHH. She
previously served with the City and County of Honolulu on the Mayor's
Committee on Ecology and 'Environment, the Mayor's Beautification Committee,
and the Committee on the Status of Women. She has also been active with the
Hawaii H-omens Society, and serves as the secretary for the Paauilo
Mauka/Kalopa Community Association. Ms. Lowenhardt states that she is not
affiliated with any political party.
Leonard ~isel of Hilo is a nine-year resident of Hawaii and is aself-employed
landscape architect who designed the current Liliuokalani Park in Hilo. Mr. Bisel
is a member of the Rotary Club of Hilo, and has served as its secretary and
director. Mr. 8isel states that he is not affiliated with any political party.
~PAichae! S. tGraus of Puna is a 23-year Hawaii resident and is the owner of an
island-wide business, Tree Works, Inc. Mr. Kraus is a Rotarian and is also a
Vietnam combat veteran. Mr. Krause states that he is not affiliated with any
political party.
,Janet E, Anderson of Vacationland is a 22-year resident of Hawaii.
Ms. Anderson is the office manager for Asia Pacific Flowers and is the owner of
Landscape Plant Nursery. She is currently the coordinator for the Vacationland
Hawaii. Neighborhood Watch. She served as past president for the Vacationland

Ms. Anderson states that she is not affiliated with any political party.
I~lichae9 Isanhart of Kona is a six-year resident of Hawaii. Mr. Isanhart is
self-emp°oyed in the landscape maintenance business. He presently serves as
the facilitator for the Kona Outdoor Circle (KOC) Pua plantasia, vice president of
beautification for the KOC Soard of Directors and coordinator for the 13ikelRun
Transition for the Ironman. Mr. Isanhart is a veteran of the United States Air
Force. Mr. Isanhart states that he is a member of the Democratic party.
The Arborist Advisory Committee members shall serve a term to expire on
