Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 132, reports as follows:
Bill No. 132, transmitted by Director of Finance William Takaba, via Communication No. 420,
dated November 6, 2001, amends Ordinance No. O 1-55, as amended, the Operating Budget,
ending June 30, 2002. The amendment is as follows:

The U.S. Department of Transportation National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is
providing funds to enforce and educate the public on the importance of Seatbelt usage. This will
be accomplished by purchasing educational materials for presentations and conducting Seatbelt
roadblocks for Hilo and Puna.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 132 and
recommends it pass first reading.
