Your Committee on Public Vvorks and Intergovernmental Relations, to which was referred
Communication No. 359 and attached Bill No. 110 reports as follows:
The purpose of Bill No. 110 is to amend Chapter 2, Article 2, Section 2-6 of the Hawaii County
Code 1983 (1.995 Edition), by deleting references to the Safety Coordinator.
Communication No. 359 dated September 24, 2001, is from Mayor Harry Kim transmitting Bill
No. 110 for the Council's review and consideration. In his letter, Mayor Kim states that this
amendment will bring the Code into conformance with the Charter of the County of Hawaii as
amended by the voters in November 2000.
Your Committee is in accordance with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 110 and recommends
that it pass first reading.
