Your Committee on Public Works and Intergovernmental Relations, to which was referred
Communication No. 358 and attached Bill No. 109 reports as follows:
The purpose of Bill No. 109 is to amend Chapter 2, Article 2, Section 2-7(a)(4) of the I~awai`i
County Code 1983 (1995 Edition), by deleting references to the Hawaii Redevelopment Agency.
Communication No. 358 dated September 24, 2001, is from Mayor Harry Kim transmitting Bill
No. 109 for the Council's review and consideration. In his letter, Mayor Kim states that this
amendment will bring the Code into conformance with the Charter of the County of Hawaii as
amended by the voters in November 2000.
Your Committee is in accordance with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 109 and recommends
that it pass first reading.
