Dear Chairman Arakaki and Council Members:
have just been informed by two of the Mayor's appointees that they will not be
able to attend the Council Committee confirmation hearings scheduled for
January 2002.
The two appointees are:
1. Ms. Natalie Flattes
Hawaii County Fire Commission (re-appointment)
2. Mr. Peter Hoffmann
Hawaii County Transportation Commission (re-appointment)
I would humbly request that these appointments be waived from Committee and
be taken up at the County Council meeting scheduled for January 24, 2002.
