RE AHALANUI PARK HOUSE
The County of Hawaii shall, at its expense, move the existing house at Ahalanui
Park to the Kamehameha Schools/Bishop Estate property across the street, as a donation
to Ho'oulu Lahui. The house shall be moved as intact as structurally possible; otherwise,
the house shall be dismantled and the lumber shall be moved to the KSBE property, at
County expense. Ho'oulu Lahui shall be solely responsible to obtain any necessary
permits and approvals, including approvals from KSBE, shall accept the house and/or
lumber "as is", and shall indemnify and hold harmless the County of Hawaii from any
liability in connection with the house after the removal. The County will provide a report
on the possibility of hazardous substances in the house. Ho'oulu Lahui and KSBE shall
acknowledge and accept the report. The County does not warrant against any further
deterioration of the house between the time of signing this agreement and any removal. If
Ho'oulu Lahui has not obtained all necessary permits and approvals for the move of the
house when the County is ready to proceed, the County may remove or demolish the
house as it sees fit, but not before . Ho'oulu Lahui shall be responsible
for any site preparation on the KSBE property.
