As long terms residents of iii, vve would like to express our strong opposition to the
deployment or testier of I,ow Frequency Active Sonar. We both spend a lot of tilne free
diving. `T'hat is flee n~iat a~ Eve lave been Iivia~g in 13awaii these past 20 years.
VVe have been reading up oa the LAFS issue for the past year and feel like there bas bin
such a lack of serioa~s science that it approaches the cri~inal_ Conclusions wea^e ynade
about the cPrects on nee lafe, even. though. testing vvas done at a fraction of the actual
d~ioy~ent levels.
PIease do everything you can to slow the process of further testing and God forbid,
deployffient, of this d~gerous, corrupt do ur~aaecessary prograaaa.
