WHEREAS, Mr. Ross Miyose has donated an African Spur Thighed Tortoise to the Pana`ewa
Rainforest Zoo; and
WHEREAS, this tortoise, which has an estimated value of $100, will be used for educational and
display purposes; and
WFll=R1=AS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter provides that the Counc;I, on
behalf of the County, may accept gifts or donations of personal property; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks & Recreation recommends the acceptance of this donation.
