I faxed a memo to the Council strongly urging passage of the resolution to oppose the Navy's proposal to
operate LFA sonar in Hawaiian waters. I've been opposing the use of low frequency acoustic
transmissions in the ocean for many years since ATOC. Hopefully the Members of the Council will
realize how important it is to stop the Navy from using the LFA sonar system which poses such a
tremendous threat to marine mammals.
