Also attached please find the following: Exhibit A ~ B: Location Maps Exhibit C: Letter date June 28, 2001 to Geraldine Giffin, Chairperson Hawaii County Planning Commission Exhibit D: Lett~;r dated October 16, 2001 to Chris Yuen, Director Hawaii County Planning Department Exhibit E: Letter dated December 21, 2001 to the Hawaii County Planning Commission. In summary, the following are the reasons we are requesting this change: 1. We do not anticipate the requested change would not adversely affect the immediate area. The makai side of Laulcapu Street (across my property) is planned for industrial use and would be compatible with this request. 2. The proposed use for the property will be for a baseyard and storage for a home construction business. There will not be any manufacturing or fabrication activities conducted on the property. Comm. Geraldine Giffin Hawaii County Planning Commission 25 Aupuni Street I-Iilo, Hawaii 96720 Re: Hawaii County General Plan Revision To Wham It May Concern, I am recently acquiring a lot on the mountain side of Laukapu Street (TMK: 2-2-036:103). It is now in escrow. I have learned that the County General Plan Revision wants to split Laukapu Street: Ocean side to Industrial and Mountain side to Medium Density Urban_ It would make more sense to make both sides of Laukapu Street industrial. The line that separates industrial and medium density urban should be the back boundary of the motntain side lots on Laukapu Street. The proposed low density urban to industrial use boundary in the proposed General Plan is outlined in green. Also attached please find the following: Exhibit A a~Li Location Maps Exhibit C: Letter date June 28, 2001 to Geraldine Giffin, Chairperson fIawaii County Planning Commission Exhibit D: Letter dated October 16, 2001 to Chris Yuen, Iairector Hawaii County Planning Department Exhibit E: Letter dated October 29, 2001 from Mr. Yuen to Ivan Mochida In summary, the following are the reasons we are requesting this change: 1. We do not anticipate the requested change would not adversely affect the immediate area. The rnakai side of Laukapu Street is planned for industrial use and would be compatible with this request. 2. The proposed use for the property will be for a baseyard and storage for a home construction business. There will not be any manufacturing or fabrication activities conducted on the property. 3.
