Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 148, reports as follows:
Bill No. 148, transmitted by Director of Finance William Takaba, via Communication No. 45l ,
dated December 10, 2001, amends Ordinance No. O 1-56, as amended, the Capital Budget, ending
June 30, 2002, by adding the following project:
PUBLIC WORKS:
Onomea Camp Road Bridge Replacement -Federal l 10-399-5391.77 $100,000
Funds for this project shall be provided from federal grants receivable.
Funds will be used to replace an existing wooden bridge that is structurally and functionally
deficient with a new concrete bridge that meets current standards. With the construction nearly
completed, additional federal funds were necessary for this project due to unforeseen soil
conditions and its incurred costs. The County's portion for this project has already been allotted.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 148 and
recommends it pass first reading.
