Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 159-O1, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 159-0 l ,transmitted by Director of Finance William Takaba, via Communication
No. 457, dated December 12, 2001, authorizes the acceptance of a donation from
Mr. Jarrett M. Ozeki.
Mr. Jarrett M. Ozeki has graciously donated three personal computers to the Hawaii County Fire
Department for use at the department's computer network to facilitate its incident reporting and
communications system. The value of this donation is estimated at $1,350.00.
Pursuant to Article XIII, Section 13-12, Hawaii County Charter, the Council, on behalf of the
County, may accept gifts or donations of personal property.
A letter of appreciation will be sent to Mr. Jarrett M. Ozeki, P.O. Box 565, Papa`ikou,
Hawaii 96781, acknowledging this generous donation.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 159-01
and recommends its adoption.
