Your Committee on Parks & Environmental Management, to which was referred
Communication No. 444, reports as follows:
Communication No. 444 is transmitted by Mayor Harry Kim, dated December 7, 2001,
submitting for confirmation the re-appointment of Samuel Kawamura to the Hawaii County
Environmental Management Commission. Mr. Kawamura is a lifelong resident of Hawaii and
has demonstrated integrity, diligence, and competence during his service on this Commission.
He is not affiliated with any political party, and if confirmed, will serve a term ending on
December 31, 2006.
Your Committee on Parks and Environmental Management recommends the approval of the re-
appointment of Mr. Samuel Kawamura to the Hawaii County Environmental Management
Commission.
