RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE FINANCE DIRECTOR OF THE COUNTY OF
HAWAII TO DISPOSE OF COUNTY OFFICE SPACES WITHIN THE HILO LAGOON
CENTRE.
WHEREAS, the County is the owner of office spaces within the Hilo Lagoon Centre,
housing the offices of the corporation counsel, aging and the department of civil service, and
more particularly as follows:

WHEREAS, with the opening of the Aupuni Center and the relocation of the County
offices into that building, the office spaces currently utilized by the offices of the corporation
counsel, aging and the department of civil service are no longer needed; and
WHEREAS, the sale of the office spaces will provide needed income to improve the
County's financial situation; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to section 2-11 1, Hawaii County Code, the Council of the County
of Hawaii, by resolution adopted by a majority of its members, is authorized to direct the
finance director to dispose of real property in fee simple.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF
HAWAII that the finance director of the County of Hawaii is hereby authorized and may
dispose of the above-mentioned property by the methods provided in sections 2-112 (disposition
by auction) and 2-113 (sale or lease by sealed bids), Hawaii County Code, and under such other
conditions as may be advisable.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the County of Hawaii shall transmit
copies of this resolution to the Honorable Harry Kim, Mayor of the County of Hawaii, and
William Takaba, Finance Director of the County of Hawaii.
