RE: Resolution No. 167-02, Draft 3
This is to transmit Resolution No. 167-02, Draft 3, which was the result of the following amendments made
at the Council's meeting of February 6, 2002:
1. Change the title of the resolution to expand the authority given to the finance director by
deleting the word "SELL" and inserting the words "DISPOSE OF".
2. Replace the BE IT RESOLVED clause with one that authorizes disposition by sale or lease
via sealed bids and not only sale by auction.
While the Council wanted to authorize the lease of any portion of the office spaces within the Hilo Lagoon
Centre, it did not want to allow sale or lease by negotiation.
