Re: Acceptance of Donations
In accordance with (1) Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter, which authorises
the Council, on behalf of the County, to accept gifts or donations of personal property, and witi~
(2) Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162 (c), of the Hawaii County Code, which states that any
donation or gift which does not fall within the capitalization procedures of the department of finance
shall be submitted to the council by le#ter for its approval, we request the Council's approval of the
following donations:
$50.00 to the Department of Parks ~ Recreation, Havvai`i County Lund by the Lehua
Jaycees, P.®. iiox 1778, Milo, Hawaii, 96721.
An electric stove (estimated value of $717.68) and kitchen supplies (estimated value of
$300.00) to the Department of Parks ~ Recreation, i019ainaku Gym by the V9iainaku-Kaiwit~i
Community Association, Susan ®'l~eill, President, 2390 Kaiwiki Road, Milo, Hawaii, 96720.
We ask that a letter of appreciation be sent to the donors.
If there are any questions, please do not hesitate to call the recipient Department.
