Re: Operating Budget
Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating
additional Federal funding for the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP). RSVP is
receiving an additional funding of $1,500 from the Corporation for National Service to
support sponsor (Office of Aging) attendance at the National Senior Service Corps
Conference and the National Conference on Volunteering and Community Service.

B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEiEnDED):
Additional faders! grant funds will be received to supplement the current travel budget of RSVP. These
funds are specifically designated by the Corporation for National Service to support sponsor (Off€~e of Aging)
attendance at the National Seni®r Service Corps Conference-and the National Conference on Volunteering
anti Community Service in Salt Lake City, Utah in June 2002. The attendance of a representative from the
Office of Aging along with the RSVP Program Director IV will be entirely funded by this federal grant.
