Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 161, reports as follows:
Bill No. 161, transmitted by Director of Finance William Takaba, via Communication No. 483,
dated January 11, 2002, amends Ordinance No. O 1-56, as amended, the Capital Budget, ending
June 30, 2002, by adding the following project:
PUBLIC WORKS:
Kawailani Street Bridge Replacement Project -Federal 110-399-5391.76 $640,000
Kawailani Street Bridge Replacement Project -State 110-399-5391.78 $500,000
Funds for this project shall be provided from:
Federal Grants Receivable $640,000
State Grants Receivable $500,000
Funds will be used to replace the hydraulically inadequate bridge, including the limited upstream
and downstream channel transitions. The State Department of Transportation and the Federal
Highway .Administration approved the design of the project on the FY2002 Statewide
Transportation Improvement Plan.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 161 and
recommends it pass first reading.
