Dear Mayor Kim:
The Public Employees Management Association of Hawaii (PEMAH)
encourages the immediate awarding of a pay raise for members of the
Excluded Managers Compensation Plan (EMCP) It is during these periods
of economic crisis that require the greatest skills of our managers.
PEMAH is a professional organization of Excluded Mangers (EM) and
confidential employees from County and State governments. We are here
to assist our members in effectively carrying out their duties and to
protect their interest should they be unjustly compromised.
As a result of the September 11 Attack on America, the leadership of
this State will need to rely upon the expertise of EM's and
confidentia]_ employees. It is through their creat=ive and innovative
minds as part of government's management team that strategies are and
will be developed to stimulate economies.
