Dear eUi
Subject: Hiiaka Street and Hale Alii Street Traffic Safety Improvements
Aloha. I'm writing to acknowledge receipt of your letter dated December 10, 2001.
Your letter discusses proposed improvements for traffic safety at the intersection of
Hiiaka and Hale Alii Streets in Kuhio Village.
I agree that your proposal is needed and concur with your suggested installment of
traffic signs and pavement markings. I hope that the residents will see the need for
these improvements sirSCr there have been a few accidents in this area. I also hope that
they will adjust to the flow of traffic and abide by the stop sign on Hiiaka Street.
I thank you and your staff for your assistance in making Kuhio Village a safer place to
live and travel. Please contact me if you have any questions at the West Hawaii District
Office in Waimea, tale hone 837- 053.
