SUBJECT: RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXTENSION OF THE PUBLIC SEWER TO
WIWOOLE STREET FOR BIG ISLAND TOYOTA, INC.
We are submitting the attached proposed resolution for your review and consideration in
accordance with Section 21-26.1(b) of the county code. An application from the owner dated
February 1, 2002 and copies of the construction plans are attached as supporting material. The
applicant proposes to comply with Section 21-28(a) of the county code, whereas they `will
construct the sewer extension for the county and in return, receive stated benefits from the
County for the stated period of time. The Department of Public Works and the Department of
Environmental Management recommend approval of this extension and payment mechanism.

Dear Dennis:
Pursuant to the Hawaii County Code, Division 4 "Extension", Section 21-26
"Applications for extensions." We are requesting construction of a sewer
extension from the intersection of Wiwoole and Holomua Streets along
Wiwoole Street to the eastern boundary of the Big Island Toyota, Inc.'s
Used Car Location. We are currently planning improvements to our
facilities on Wiwoole Street and feel that such an improvement would
benefit us and adjacent parcels.
We wish to comply with Section 21-28(a), whereas, we will construct the
sewer extension for the County and in return, receive stated benefits from
the County for the stated period of time.
