WHEREAS, the Council of the County of Hawaii is authorized to adopt a street name
for an unnamed roadway in the County of Hawaii pursuant to Section 22-35, Article 2,
Chapter 22, Relating to Strccts and Sidewalks and Section 23-49, Chapter 23, Relating to
Subdivisions, Hawaii County Code; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission at its regular meeting of January 18, 2002,
approved the name for the unnamed roadway in North and South Kohala in accordance with the
County's adopted Street Naming Policy; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that said
roadway, as indicated on Exhibit "A" of this Resolution, be named as follows:
"Kohala Mountain Road" narrled after the historic reference to the road on Tax Maps
Dated at xona Hawaii, this 20th day of March 2002.
