WHEREAS, the Council of the County of Hawaii is authorized to adopt street names of
unnamed roadways in the County of Hawaii pursuant to Section 22-35, Article 2, Chapter 22,
Hawaii County Code; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission at its regular meeting of January 18, 2002,
approved the names for the certain unnamed roadways in Pacific Heights Subdivision
Increment IV, Kukuau, South Hilo, Hawaii; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that said
roadways, as indicated on Exhibit "A" of this Resolution, be named as follows:
"Kuahiwi Place" mountain or high hill
"Ki-kau Place" to give freely and with goodwill
