dated January 16, 2002, arr~e~nds Ordinance No. 01-55, as amended, the Operating Budget,
ending .Lune 30, 2002. Thel amendment is as follows:

The State of Hawaii Department of Transportation Public Affairs Office -Safe Community
Program had earlier provided this grant to reduce speed in related motor vehicle traffic fatalities
and on highway usage. These additional funds will increase the amount to $33,375.
During its discussion, You>I' Committee learned that the use of these funds is not associated with
the state"s pilot traffic cam~r~ program.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 165 and
recommends it pass first reeding.
