Re: Resolution for payment of funds for more than one fiscal year
Enclosed is a resolution authorizing the payment of funds from the appropriations of a
later fiscal yeas and of more than one fiscal year for the animal control services for the
County of Hawaii. T'he County will soon be issuing a Request for Proposals seeking to
contract with- an organization to provide animal control services for a period up to June
30, 2005.

The County of Hawaii desires to issue a I~eclu~st for Proposal seeing to
contract wia an organisation to provide island-wide animal control
services fo~° a period of up to 3une 30, 2005 with the option of
extending the contract in increztaents of two one year periods.
The contract includes the operation and proper maintenance of an animal
shelter and pound facilities, recovery and proper disposal of dead
animals found on pudic gays, enforcement of laws relating to animals,
operation of a 24-~hvur dispatch system to receive calls .for ~~rvice,
s~:lling of dig licenses, and administration of spray/neuter program for
dogs and cats.
