DONATION OF ART PRINTS
Upon further review of Communication 535, please be advised that we will not be
seeking an opinion from Corporation Counsel as requested in a deferral motion by the
Committee on Finance. It is clear that the five hundred (500) donated art prints each
having an estimated value of $15.00 does not fall under the capitalization rules of
Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162 of the Hawaii County Code. Therefore, its
acceptance by letter is in compliance with the Hawaii County Code.
