Gentlemen, and Bobby Jean:
I so admire the courage end wladom you showed when you voted in favor of Bill ft62 on
Thursday, April 24. In plain language, It took guts to vote your convictions in view of the loud
and at times, Irrational opposition voices.
I know and you know that apost-harvest Irradiation plant will have a tremendous
poSltlve Impact on the East Hawaii's economy In the short run and In the long run. It certainly
is not the Cole and entire answer to our economic woes, but it can be one more block we lay in
a solid antl sustainable economic come-back.
1 urge you and I encourage you to continue to show your constituents on May 7th that
you will not be cowed by the loud voices of the opposition simpty because they are loutl. I am
so very happy that Tor the Tirst time In a long, long time, quiet, rational, factual arguments won
out over loud demonstrative noise. Hang in therell
