(Note: At the 04/02/2002 meeting of the Public Works and
Intergovernmental Relations Committee, Bill 196 was deferred because of
concerns of access to driveways of property owners. Houses should not
have been permitted if it would cause a back -up of traffic on Kuakini
Street. Property owners have had to detour to get into their homes. Bill
196 was never agendized thereafter )

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24, OF THE HAWAII COUNTY CODE 1983
(1995 EDITION), RELATING TO VEI~ICLES AND TRAFFIC.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Chapter 24, article 10, division 2, section 24-271, schedule 19 (prohibited
left turn areas), subsection (f) Kona, of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (1995 edition), is
amended by adding the following to be appropriately numbered and to read as follows:
~ Seaview Circle, west bound, from Kuakini Highway and extendin og ne hundred
seventy feet towards Seaview Circle.
SECTION 2. Material to be repealed is bracketed. New material is underscored. In
printing this ordinance, the brackets, bracketed material and underscoring need not be included.
SECTION 3. If any provision of this ordinance, or the application thereof to any person
or circumstance, is held invalid, such im,~alidity shall not affect other provisions or applications
of the ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid provision or application, and to
this end, the provisions of this ordinance are declared to be severable.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
