As an owner of a small business and a life long resident of the Big Island, I have yet to experience a more serious decline in the economy of our county. More importantly, a recovery does not seem to be in the near future for East Hawaii without the development of new industries. A post harvest irradiation facility will contribute immensely to the revival of our economy. It will allow the expansion of diversified agriculture by increasing the export potential of farm products. It is also a proven process with over 300 similar plants worldwide and with FAA approval of the products that are treated. T urge your favorable consideration of this facility and it's potential benefits to the people and economy of the Big Island. Than ou.~ AC1 M.
