MANAGEMENT COMMISSION
Forwarded for your consideration are draft ordinances that amends Chapters 20 and 21 by transferring
rate setting authority for solid waste fees and sewer charges from the Hawaii County Council to the
Environmental Management Commission.
The Environmental Management Commission, at its January 22, 2002 meeting, had recommended
approval of these ordinances.
Your attention and favorable consideration of this bill will be sincerely appreciated.

CHARGES FROM THE COUNTY COUNCIL TO TIDE ENVIRONMENTAL
MANAGEMENT COMMISSION
At the January 22, 2002 meeting of the Environmental Management Commission, the
commissioners present unanimously approved the subject ordinances and recommended that they be
forwarded to the Hawaii County Council for adoption.
