1 am writing in support of establishing an irradiator facility for the disinfestation of
agricultural commodities. Irradiation has been proven by scientific data to be a safe and
cost effective process.
For papayas and other agricultural commodities this plant may very well serve as the
opening development of a mighty agricultural industry for Hawaii.
