keyboarding and computer literacy, and family literacy projects. All tutoring is at
no cost to the student. X16 of the X92 students, who have had lessons at the
Kailua Learning Center since it opened in September 1992, have made
remarkable progress in their basic skills; some have gained their 4iigh School
equivalency C~iploma, and others Dave gotten better jobs. Reading improves the
adults' self esteem thereby improving their fives and they become better family
members, ~nrorkers and community.members. ~~~iv
