Re: Resolution Accepting ®onation
Enclosed is a resolution accepting a donation of three (3) pairs of Amazon Parrots and
their enclosures for the Pana`ewa Rainforest Zoo. This donation is being made by Mr.
Jack Armstrong and Ms. Sherrie Moore, HI-Box 4617, Kea'au, Hawaii 96749 and has
an estimated total value of X14,100.

A. REQUEST:
To accept and acknowledge a donation of three pairs of Amazon Parrots and enclosures for the Panewa
boo. (one pair of Orange 1llJing Amazons, one pair of Lilac Crown Amazons, one pair of Yellow Crown
Amazons). The estimated total value of the donation is $14,100.
B. BACKGROUND AND JItSTIFlCATION USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED
Council action is being requested to accept and acknowledge a donation by Jack Armstrong and Sherrie
Moore of three pairs of Amazon Parrots and enclosures to the Department of Parks and Recreation. The
parrots (one pair ~f Orange V10ing A~razons, one pair of Lilac Crown Amazons, one pair of Yellow Crown
Amazons) will be d'asplayed at the Panaewa boo. Each pair will be housed in an eight foot octagon aviary on
a cement pad .
Estimated value of the parrots:
Orange Wing Amazons: $1800 pair
Lilac Crown Amazons: $800 pair
Yellow Crown Amazons: $500 pair
Estimated value of enclosures: $11,000
