WHEREAS, Mr. Jack Armstrong and Ms. Sherrie Moore have donated three (3) pairs of Amazon
Parrots and their enclosures to the Pana'ewa Rainforest Zoo; and
WB-IEREAS, this donation includes one pair of Orange Wing Amazons, one pair of Lilac Crown
Amazons, one pair of Yellow Crown Amazons, and their enclosures; and have an estimated total value of
$14,100; and
WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter provides that the Council, on
behalf of the County, may accept gifts or donations of personal property; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks & Recreation recommends the acceptance of this donation.
NOW, THI<REFORE, 13E IT RESOLVED DY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OP HAWAII that in
accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter, the Council of the County of Hawaii
accepts this donation.
SE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a letter of appreciation be sent to Mr. Jack Armstrong and Ms.
Sherrie Moore, HI-BOX 4617, Ke'aau, Hawaii 96749, acknowledging this generous donation.
