Re: Resolution Authorizing County to Enter into an Agreement
Enclosed is a resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into an agreement with the
State Department of Transportation for a Keahole to Honaunau Regional Circulation
Plan Grant. This grant will be used to develop along-range regional transportation
circulation plan for the region encompassing Keahole to Honaunau.
The bill for an ordinance to appropriate this grant has passed 1st reading by the
Council. We would like to request a waiver from the Finance committee so this
resolution can be heard with its appropriation bill at the Council meeting scheduled
for April 17, 2002.

RE: Resolution No. 2 0 0 - 0 2 Authorizing the Mayor to enter into an agreement :with

Pursuant to Section 1(g) of Rule 4 of the Rules of Procedure of the Council of the County of
Hawaii, this writt;:r; request is submitted with my approval that the above-referenced matter be
waived from the CommitteL on Finance to the full Council for immediate action. In reviewing
this matter, `€~rely ~;pprova.l is crucial. It is therefore advantageous that approval is gr4Anted and
the Ynatter placed onto the next Council agenda for review. However, in the event this request is
denied, for t~l~atever reason, I ux~derst~.rad the matter shall be referred to the Committee on
Finance for placement on its future agenda.
