Thank you for the opportunity to present to you and your committee about the Friends of
CJC-EH. It was a pleasure to share the activities of our organization. I hope that all of
your questions were adequately clarified. The Friends are unique because the direct
assistance to abused or neglected children are not available through other private or
public sources. Referring agencies must exhaust all other avenues prior to applying for
any of our programs or services.
We recognize the difficulty of your situation as the request for funds exceeds the
amount that can be allocated. However, the abused and neglected children in East
Hawaii are very much in need of our community's support. We wish you and your
committee the best and we thank you for your consideration of the Friends.
