Comm. 522: APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS TO NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS FOR
FISCAL YEAR 2002-2003
From Finance Director William Takaba, dated February 12, 2002, transmitting
applications from qualifying organizations and a list showing amounts requested for
review and appropriation of funds for Fiscal Year 2002-2003.
Comm. 522.1: From Human Services and Economic Development Committee (HS&EDC) Chair
Nancy Pisicchio, dated February 21, 2002, transmitting bound copies of the 46 grant
applications from eligible nonprofit organizations requesting Fiscal Year 2002-2003
grant funds. Informs of the HS&EDC's study team's site visits and/or interviews to
be held March 11-13 and the March 21 and April 1 Special meetings when
presentations from applicant agencies relating to their grant requests will be
deliberated.
Comm. 522.12: From Big Island Substance Abuse Council (BISAC) Chief Executive Officer
Gloria Egle-Oaks and Comptroller Diana Nelson, dated April 2, 2002, submitting
corrections to an error in their previously submitted Performance Measures and
Program Funding Sources section of their grant application, as requested at the
HS&EDC Special Meeting of April 1, 2002.
Comm. 522.13: From HS&EDC Chair Nancy Pisicchio, dated April 4, 2002, submitting the
recommendations for the FY2002-03 nonprofit grant appropriations, pursuant to
Communication 522 from Finance Director William Takaba. Also includes a
spreadsheet detailing prior years' funding, the FY2002-03 funding request from each
applicant, and the HS&EDC recommended funding amounts.
