From Council Chairman Russell S. Kokubun dated May 23,
1989, requesting clarification of the actions taken on
Petition 2(A) at the Planning Committee's May 10, 1989
meeting.
Pet. 2 (A): From Jeanne L. Hughes, For Friends of Kohala, dated
April 24, 1989, transmitting additional petitions,
totalling 3,100 signatures, requesting the preservation
of the North Kohala Coastline.
Comm. 551: SENATE RESOLUTION N0. 143
From T. David Woo, Jr., Clerk of the Senate, dated
May 15, 1989, transmitting a copy of Senate Resolution
No. 143, requesting the County of Hawaii to examine its
ordinances relating to zoning to develop a sound system
to protect agricultural lands from condominium-style
development of agricultural land and eliminate the
ambiguity in the law, which was adopted by the Senate
during the 1989 legislative session.
