Re: Bill No. 205 Relating to Streets and Sidewalks
Comments from Hawaii Electric Light Company and Verizon
Dear Mr. Elarionoff:
I have received your letter dated April 17, 2002, transmitting testimony from Clyde Nagata of
Hawaii Electric Light Company (HELLO) and Faul Oshiro of Verizon. They both have
concerns about Bill No. 205 relating to streets and sidewalks.
I understand that their concerns were brought up earlier when the original Bill No. 225 was
under consideration, and at that time, because of information furnished by Galen Kuba, the
Council chose not to include the language proposed by HELLO and Verizon in the bill.
' Based on that, we do not feel that any amendment to the language in Bill No. 205 is necessary
at this time. We recommend passage of Bill No. 205 in its present form.
