Dear Bobbie Jean,
I am writing in support of Debbie Ward's nomination by our Honorable Mayor Harry Kim to the County
Planning Commission. I personally have worked with Debbie on various community service projects
and can attest to her intelligence, diligence, integrity, and work ethic. She is well informed of the
various subjects involved in the planning process, and is fair in her decisions and judgment.
Debbie has always impressed me with her breadth of knowledge on many subjects. On a personal
level, she is a friendly, outgoing, and good-natured person; always fun to be around with whether it be
singing together or discussing topics of interest.
The Planning Commission would have a very valuable member on its board with Debbie's presence.
May I humbly ask that you and your commission accept her nomination? The people of Hawaii
County will be well served.
