Re: Resolution for amulti-year lease renewal
Enclosed is a resolution authorizing the renewal of a multi-year lease for the Office of
the Corporation Counsel Family Support Division's Kona office. The existing office
lease, which expires on June 30, 2002, will be extended for another 5 years. The
County will be fully reimbursed for the entire office lease cost by the State of Hawaii,
Child Support Enforcement ;agency.

A. REQUEST•
Approval to exercise the Hawaii County's option to renew office lease for a
five year period.
B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED):
The Corporation Counsel, Family Support Division's lease of its Kona office
will terminate on June 30, 2002. The Department would like to exercise the
County's option to renew the existing lease, dated June 22, 1992 and previously
approved in Resolution No. 439-92, for a five year period conunencing July 1,
2002 and ending on June 30, 2007.
The County will be fully reimbursed for the entire office lease cost by the
State of Hawaii, Child Support Enforcement Agency.
